About Vanni @ OHM
Peace and blessings organic and holistic methods ("OHM") family and new subscribers!
My name is Vanni ("Vhon-nee"), short for my middle name, Vanessa. I describe myself as a "student of life," always seeking to tip the 'balance scales' of life towards the greater side of good.
My wellness journey to optimal health is a journey that I am still on - as spiritual, mental, and physical aspects of healing do not happen overnight. As someone who has dealt with generational trauma [indirectly], childhood trauma, and digestive issues the majority of my life, I became more aware of my health during a health scare in 2013 that landed me in the emergency room. This health scare led to various doctor visits that I've deemed 'invasive' and had me on a path to taking prescribed medications that could've led to other possible health complications. After a year on prescribed medications, I was discontent with the path I was on and decided to seek and learn holistic ways to achieving optimal health. This wellness journey was not easy as I went through many years of trial-and-error, re-searching, un-learning, and re-learning proper ways to achieving optimal health. During my wellness journey, a close loved one passed away from cancer in 2020. This was the turning point in my life to focus on non-invasive ways to learn about health through integrative methods such as iridology and herbology. Between 2021-2024, I've obtained certifications in both iridology and herbalism from the American College of Healthcare Sciences (ACHS). In 2024, I also studied numerology under the mentorship of Master Astro-Numerologists. This humbling experience not only led me to life-long friendships with other Astro-Numerologists, but it has allowed me integrate one's health journey via the world of numerology. As a student of life, my future focuses are to obtain additional certifications centering around holistic health, and traveling the world to learn more about African, Indigenous, and Eastern medicine.
OHM was created as a means to help everyone, including the Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) communities, achieve optimal health that feel as if (1) their needs are overlooked in the allopathic healthcare industry or (2) are seeking a holistic approach to their healthcare regimen. Allopathic medicine has made many strides with scientific studies and is definitely an option when it comes to life-saving techniques and emergency situations. However, allopathic medicine is not the only option and can be integrated with OHM - as various health modalities are practiced around the world (e.g. iridology, herbology, reflexology, Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, etc.). Although my purpose is to help individuals achieve optimal health, I make everyone aware that I am an unlicensed complementary and alternative medicine practitioner (UCAMP) and I do not treat, diagnose, cure, or prevent any dis-ease. As a UCAMP, I provide consultation services and products to everyone that have a passion or curiosity to seek and learn various OHM that can be used in tandem with allopathic healthcare practices.
Wishing you all the best in your wellness journey! ~Vanni @ OHM
